Michael Gosling Profile

Mike Gosling, who pitched in 15 games this season for the Cleveland Indians, has been assigned outright to Triple-A Columbus.

The 28-year-old left-hander had no record and a 5.04 ERA in 25 innings, all in relief, with the Indians in 2009. He previously pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds. In 59 career games, including nine starts, he is 3-4 with a 4.85 ERA.

Drafted in the second round by the Diamondbacks in 2001 out of Stanford, he made his MLB debut with Arizona in 2003. He also spent time in the minors in the Toronto and Minnesota organizations. He signed with the Twins as a free agent last January and was released in June, but signed a minor-league deal with Cleveland on June 5 and was assigned to Columbus.

Gosling split the rest of the season between the Clippers and Cleveland. After going 7-1 with a 4.37 ERA for the Twins' Triple-A club at Rochester, he was 0-3 with a 5.29 ERA for Columbus.

In 218 minor-league games, including 130 starts, Gosling is 59-49 with eight saves and a 4.60 ERA.
