| A prototypical WR who has the measurables to be great. Has great length and is explosive in the red zone where he does a good job using his size. Is a bit of a long-strider, but is still able to stay over his feet and can make people miss. Plays against less-than-stellar competition, so he has developed some bad habits. Has a chance to be one of the great ones in the Class of 2009--Burke Hayes |
| Biography: |
2008: Named Mr. Football for Division 2-A. Earned PARADE All-America status. Racked up 1,785 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns. Brown was named #9 on the Press Register's Super Southeast 120, Orlando Sentinel's All Souther Team (LA).
2007: Marlon Brown had 41 receptions for 861 yards and six touchdowns during his junior season. He added 58 carries for 629 yards and 10 touchdowns; Brown admits he wants to work on his overall speed and strength (benches only 215 pounds, squats 420).
Partial senior (7-2) stats: 10 touchdowns receiving and six rushing scores.
Brown reports a 3.2 core GPA and a 21 ACT.
Brown: "I want to work on getting past the quicker defensive backs and get faster. I can get yards after the catch. I'm pretty tall, so I have a height advantage over a lot of people. I'm really elusive and hard to stop. I can make a quick move around the corner and I'm gone."
