Recorded 68 tackles, 13 for losses, 4 pass break ups, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 recovered fumble as a junior; He benches 315 pounds, squats 450 and has a 34-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (7-4) season stats: 70 tackles, 22 for loss, 8 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery returned for a touchdown and 1 interception. After the season Jones was selected as Pepsi's Best of the Preps and to the Varsity Sports Media's Tennessee Football Magazine Phenoms 32 All-State team. He was a finalist for the Titans Division II AA Mr. Football Lineman award and was also selected to VandyMania's Tennessee Super 44 team in July.
Jones reports a 4.0 core GPA and an 1160 two-part SAT.
Jones: "I run well (4.7 forty) and I can get off blocks and fill into the line of scrimmage. I can come off the edge and blitz good too, but I want to work on my overall quickness and speed getting to the outside. I also want to improve my reading schemes and focus."
