| Biography: |
| Junior right-hander expected to again see significant innings for the Cardinal. Local product out of Mountain View, Davis was tied for second on the club with 22 appearances (one start) as a sophomore in 2005. Finished the year with a 1-1 record and 4.91 ERA spanning 33 innings. Has recovered nicely from a gruesome injury last summer when he was struck in the eye with a line drive while pitching in the Cape Cod League. Davis is a versatile pitcher who could see action as a starter, closer, or long reliever in 2007. Throws a fastball in the mid-to-high 80's with picture-perfect mechanics. Best pitch may be an excellent change-up. |
