Claimed by the Jets in August 2002 after being cut by Broncos late in training
camp... Waived in August after the Jets signed Jamie Martin...
Berlin Thunder, NFL Europe (2002)
Let the Thunder to the World Bowl championship... Threw for 176 yards and two
touchdowns in championship game, both to WR Dane Looker... Set NFLE record for
pass completions (208), en route to passing for 2,386 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Denver Broncos (2001-2002)
Signed by the Broncos late in December and assigned to NFL Europe in the
Spring.. Waived in August 2002.
New York Jets (2001)
Spent most of the season on the Jets practice squad...
Washington Redskins (2000-2001)
Drafted in the sixth round by the Redskins, 202nd overall... Appeared in one
game, completing two of two passes for -2 yards... Struggled in 2001 preseason
with the Redskins, partially due to a strained rib cage and lost backup to
veteran Tony Banks.
College Experience
Stanford (1996-1999)
Started at quarterback for the Cardinal his junior and senior years... Threw for
6,564 yards and 41 touchdowns during college career... Named All-Pac 10 as a
senior... Led the Cardinal to the Rose Bowl his senior year... Threw for over
three thousand yards as a junior, joining John Elway and Steve Stenstrom as the
only quarterbacks to do so... Set single-game school passing record with 450
yards against Oregon State in 1998... Set Pac-10 record by throwing 159
consecutive passes without an interception as a junior... Honorable Mention
All-Pac 10 as a junior... Backed up starting quarterback Chad Hutchinson during
his freshman and sophomore seasons, appearing in four and six games
respectively... Threw for 173 yards and a TD against Arizona State as a
freshman, replacing an injured Hutchinson.
Contract Status: Signed a one-year contract for 2004.
