Chino Hills (Calif.) Ayala quarterback Ryan Orozco continues to wait for his first offer.
The 6-5, 225-pound Orozco spent the past season at Ayala after previously playing at Orange Lutheran, and slipped under the recruiting radar.
But things appear to be on the upswing for Orozco.
"Coach Burns at UTEP has been talking with me and they could be offering me really soon," said Orozco. "And Fresno State is talking to me about a greyshirt possibility."
In addition, Stanford has also been in contact with him, as well as Oregon State and USC.
"Stanford has a commitment from a quarterback, but he's going on his (LDS) mission, so they may bring another one in. We'll see what happens there. I've also been talking to Oregon State a lot and USC told me that I could be a preferred walk-on," said Orozco.
Orozco said he's willing to wait and see what materializes before making a decision.
"My ultimate goal is to get a full-ride scholarship, so I'll just wait to see what happens," said Orozco.
A good student, Orozco carries a 3.9 and scored an 1870 on the SAT, making his options that much better.
As a 2009 senior at Ayala, he threw for 1,500 yards in a balance offense, and three 12 touchdown passes.
