After letting Friday's game slip away, Stanford bounced back Saturday at Sunken Diamond with an 8-6 win over Washington that tied the series. The Huskies had the big stick on Saturday with four home runs, but Stanford strung together a big five-run eighth inning that broke up a 3-3 tie. Five Cardinal batters rapped multiple hits, while a sophomore notched his first save of the season.

Stanford's Pac-10 series losing streak might be finally snapped today in the rubber game of the weekend series against Washington.  The Cardinal on Saturday at Sunken Diamond broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning with a five-run outburst, holding off the Huskies' ninth-inning rally to win 8-6.  The three-game series is now tied at one game apiece.
