Card Sweep Cal; Win Streak At Eight

Sunday was a good day for the Cardinal baseball team. Stanford completed the sweep of California with a 9-7 victory thanks to a 13-hit offensive attack and some impressive work from the bullpen. The win extended the Cardinal's winning streak to eight games and was the 2,500th in the program's history. Meanwhile, an injured player returned to the field for the first time in over a year.

It was another close game and another Stanford victory on Sunday afternoon at Sunken Diamond.  The Cardinal used a 13-hit offensive attack and a six-run third inning en route to a 9-7 victory over the visiting California Golden Bears to complete the sweep of the non-conference series.  The win was Stanford's eighth in a row and improved their overall record to an impressive 10-5 through 15 games...
