Stanford Steals Another from the ACC

For the second time in the last three weeks, Stanford has stunned the recruiting world with a surprise commitment plucked away from an ACC school. Last month it was offensive lineman Brad Hallick jumping from Virginia to new Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh. Wednesday night offered more stunning news when an 11-month wide receiver/cornerback commit to Boston College turned his pledge to Stanford.

It has been a recruiting story 12 months in the making, starting with a Boston College offer last January for young Corey Gatewood, then a junior at Belmont (Mass.)
