It is a rare event, but Stanford fans are turning their attention toward specialist recruiting, given the terrible downturn they are witnessing on special teams early this season. The Cardinal a year ago had one of the best units in the nation, and they are anxious to restock the cupboards. Stanford already snared the top kicker in the nation and this week extended an offer to a premier punter.
