There were many broken hearts in the Stanford locker room Saturday night after the dramatic defeat to Notre Dame. Quarterback T.C. Ostrander had his finest performance in a Stanford uniform, but found no victory to celebrate. Seniors Julian Jenkins and T.J. Rushing were on the field for the final Irish score, a bitter end to their Cardinal careers. All three talked with us afterward.

For Ostrander, it was a quick rise and fall in the final few minutes of the game Saturday night.  He carried the Cardinal to the lead from a nine-point deficit, only to watch the 31-30 advantage melt into a 31-38 dagger defeat.  The redshirt sophomore quarterback talked in the locker room about his 76-yard connection with Mark Bradford and the exhilaration of an apparent career- and program...
