Card Pound Bears To Clinch Series Victory

2 HR and 5 RBI for Putnam

Stanford rapped out a season-high tying 18 hits Saturday afternoon in their 9-2 win over the California Golden Bears. Danny Putnam and Donny Lucy led the offensive charge with two homers apiece while Sam Fuld scored a run to move into first all-time at Stanford in that category. Meanwhile, Jeff Gilmore tossed a five-hit complete game on the hill as Stanford records their tenth series win in a row to begin the year.
