Radio: Harrison Phillips Wins Stanford Over

The Stanford coaching staff fell in love with Omaha defensive end Harrison Phillips at last week's camp and extended him an offer shortly thereafter. The Cardinal believe he fits their blue collar attributes. He details his relation to the Stanford way for The Bootleg Radio.

It's easy to see why Stanford fell in love with the top 2014 recruit in the state of Nebraska after he dominated trench drills at the Cardinal's camp last week.

"I like Stanford because they go out and get it. Out of all the camps I've gone to, this one was the most blue collar camp," Harrison Phillips said. "No one cares what you weigh, no one cares how much you bench, no one cares how fast you can touch a cone and run back. It's basically who can strap up when the pads are on, when the mouthpieces are in. Who can get it? That's how the game should be played."

The respect between Phillips and Stanford is mutual: the Cardinal offered the defensive end after his visit. Fans of The Farm may enjoy this bruiser's breakdown of Stanford's physical dynamic on The Bootleg Radio.
