Elmore Lands First Offer

Elmore Lands First Offer

Somerset (Wisc.) junior tight end Gaelin Elmore discusses Minnesota offer and Junior Day.

After a junior season in which he started both ways and helped his team win a state title, Gaelin Elmore added another major milestone to start of 2013, as the junior tight end picked up an offer from Minnesota.

That was the first one for the 6'5, 235-lb prospect, and he received it at the Gophers' junior day.

"I was very happy that they offered because after the junior day visit, I could definitely see myself being a Gopher," he added.

Currently hearing from other schools like Stanford, Wisconsin and Michigan as well, the Gophers are likely to end up with some competition for Elmore, but they are off to a quick early start in his recruitment.

"Minnesota seems like a school that is definitely on the uprising. They have a really good staff filled with coaches who care led by Coach Kill."

Elmore played defense as well last season, but says most of his interest is coming at tight end.
