DePaul snags a late pledge

R.J. Curington

DePaul landed a solid late commitment from R.J. Curington from the famed Oak Hill Academy.

The DePaul Blue Demons have been searching for some added scoring on the wing in the class of 2013, and on Thursday they landed their man. Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy guard R.J. Curington committed to the school.

A three star player who is a native of nearby Dyer, Indiana, Curington has spent his entire career at Oak Hill Academy and is known for his ability to make shots with solid size on the wing at 6-foot-5.

So far as a senior Curington is having his most productive year as a prep player, and appears to have a glowing green light to shoot the basketball whenever he gets a clean look at the rim.

Curington's commitment to the Blue Demons was confirmed on twitter by both the player at Oak Hill Academy head coach Steve Smith.

By landing Curington, DePaul now has four commitments in the 2013 class. Four-star combo guard Billy Garrett leads the way, and then also junior college bigs Forrest Robinson and Greg Sequele are in the mix as well.
