Tustin (Calif.) linebacker, Marshaun Daniel, has made his college decision.

"I committed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo during my official visit this weekend," Daniel tells FOX Sports NEXT.

"Cal Poly is great! The environment and atmosphere was amazing, the campus is beautiful, I received great vibes from all the coaches, and the players made me feel like one of their brothers."

The Mustangs coaching staff made Daniel feel right at home.

"The coaching staff is great," he raves. "Coach (Tim) Walsh is real. He really cares about all his players and not just on an athletic level.

"The linebackers coach/defensive coordinator, Coach (Josh) Brown, was really impressed with my playing ability and football comprehension. He says I will be a great asset to their defense."

The 6-foot, 205-pound athlete couldn't be happier about his decision.

"I didn't know much about Cal Poly SLO when they started recruiting me," Daniel says.

"They have been rated among the top public academic universities in the west and they have a strong football program.

"It's such a blessing to have the opportunity to further my higher education at such a notable academic university."
