UCLA defensive end Datone Jones came to Mobile, Alabama this week with a chip on his shoulder. He explained to FOX Sports NEXT what it is he has to prove at the Senior Bowl.

MOBILE, Ala. — UCLA defensive end Datone Jones came to the Senior Bowl with a chip on his shoulder and he's not afraid to tell you exactly why. "I felt like I wasn't rated as high as I should've been," he said. "So now I'm showcasing my abilities with some of the best offensive linemen in the country."

Jones, who officially weighed in at 6-foot-4 280-pounds, is welcoming feedback from his North squad's Oakland Raiders coaching staff and is in turn putting it to use. "They've told me to use my hands more," he explained. "I wrote it down, took it to practice with me and was dominant."

Through the head coaching changes at UCLA during Jones' tenure as a Bruin, he was able to gain valuable experience playing in both a 4-3 and 3-4 defense. "It's just understanding the game," he explained. "It helped me understand how guys are going to block me."

Jones is currently projected as a first to second round pick in April's draft.
