Walker sets final visit to Wisconsin

DB Cameron Walker

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola defensive back Cameron Walker has already taken two official visits and will take one more trip before pulling the trigger.

Cameron Walker is a talented player on both sides of the ball but is being recruited primarily as a cornerback. The athlete took October official visits to California and Boise State and said the two are dead even right now.

"I liked both schools a lot," Walker said. "Cal is a great school and I know they're struggling right now but that doesn't affect me at all. With Cal, it's about more than just football. They're a great school academically and I like the location a lot. I like the coaching staff a lot and it's just a great all around school.

"With Boise State, I really like the football program and coach Petersen a lot. They have a great game day atmosphere and Boise is a cool city. It's a college town with a lot to do and the fans are very passionate there. I have a former teammate, Chaz Anderson there and he really likes it there a lot."

Walker's last visit will be to Wisconsin in two weeks when the Badgers host Ohio State (Nov. 16).

"Wisconsin has been recruiting me hard all year and they really have my attention right now," Walker said. "I don't know as much about them as I do the other schools closer to home but I can't wait to get out there and see the campus up close and learn more about the program.

"I know how passionate the fans are in the Big 10 and that atmosphere should be crazy with Ohio State coming to town. My plan is to take this last visit and then take the next week or so to think over my decision and announce around Thanksgiving."
