Dowling awaits Stanford offer as UCLA beckons

Fallbrook High School (Fallbrook, Calif.) offensive lineman Sean Dowling visited Stanford last weekend for the Cardinal's Junior Day. Dowling is the nation's No. 38 ranked offensive tackle, sporting offers from UCLA, Arizona and Colorado, among others.

Sean Dowling enjoyed his trip, but was disappointed that Stanford didn't offer him a scholarship. Because of the limited scholarships Stanford has to offer in the 2013 recruiting class, the Cardinal is being judicious in offering scholarships to recruits at any position, particularly along the offensive line, where Stanford is well stocked following its banner 2012 class.
