"I should be there on the 13th of January," Fanaika said.
That's around the time when Fanaika should learn of his Stanford Admissions fate. Fanaika is putting the finishing touches on the Stanford application, and anticipates getting a decision next month.
"I'm just getting ready to turn everything in," Fanaika said. "We expect to hear back by sometime around January 12th or something like that.
The admissions process was a primary discussion point when Cardinal assistant coach Lance Anderson paid Fanaika an in-home visit recently.
"It was good," Fanaika said of Anderson's visit. "We just went over the things, the admissions papers and all that good stuff." The three-star recruit has unofficially visited the Farm twice, attending a Junior Day last spring, and tripping to Palo Alto in the spring of his sophomore season.
Although Fanaika had expressed a desire to announce his decision at the Offense/Defense All-American game later this month, he now plans to announce "probably on Signing Day".
Fanaika claims he has no favorites, and is "still real open".
"I think after I take my visits, then I'll probably know," Fanaika said.
