Recruiting Shocker: Noor Davis to Stanford!

Newest Card Commit

Chalk this up as one of the biggest surprises in recent Stanford recruiting history. Despite not taking a recent visit to Palo Alto, and not even naming the Card in his top-5 until days ago, star Florida linebacker Noor Davis announced his verbal commitment to Stanford moments ago.

A four-star recruit listed by Scout as the nations No. 7 outside linebacker, The Villages Charter High (The Villages, Flor.) star Noor Davis made his choice public in an announcement moments ago at his high school.

Davis picked the Cardinal over reported offers from Florida, USC, Notre Dame and Alabama (his top-5), as well as Auburn, Miami, UCLA, Tennessee, LSU, and Oklahoma, among many others. Davis is Stanford's third commitment in its 2012 class, and possibly its highest profile yet.

He joins four-star recruit Aziz Shittu and high three-star Alex Carter in what's shaping up to be a banner defensive class for the Cardinal.

Stay tuned to The Bootleg for more on Davis' surprise choice in the near future.
